Ride Beyond the Dunes

Experience Morocco on horseback on a four-day adventure through Atlantic beaches, golden sand dunes, ancient Argan and Eucalyptus forests, and traditional Berber villages.

Beyond the Dunes is designed as an intimate, small-group horse trek combining daily riding with authentic Moroccan hospitality, local food, nature, and plenty of time to enjoy the spectacular Atlantic coastline.

Your journey begins in Essaouira and takes you through forests and coastal landscapes toward Sidi Kaouki. Along the way, you'll gallop across wide beaches, explore traditional villages, visit a women-run Argan oil cooperative, enjoy picnics in nature, and discover the waterfalls of Sidi M'barek.

Instead of camping, you'll stay in charming guest houses with real beds and hot showers, while your luggage, meals, and transfers are taken care of throughout the trek.

All you need to bring is your sense of adventure, and your camera.

The Experience Day by Day

Day 1 – Essaouira to Sidi Kaouki

Your adventure begins with hotel pickup in Essaouira between 9:00 and 9:30 AM.

We'll head to the stables to meet the horses before riding through Eucalyptus forests and past Dar Sultan toward the Atlantic coast.

After a picnic in the forest, continue toward Sidi Kaouki, where you'll settle into your guest house and enjoy an authentic Moroccan dinner.

Day 2 – Argan Forests & Berber Villages

After breakfast, saddle up and head into the ancient Argan and Eucalyptus forests toward Argana.

Ride through traditional Berber villages before visiting a local women-run cooperative and discovering how traditional Argan oil is produced.

You'll have the opportunity to taste fresh honey, Argan oil, and Amlou before returning toward the coast and the ocean breeze of Sidi Kaouki.

Day 3 – Galloping the Atlantic Coast

Today is all about the thrill of the coastline.

Ride along wide Atlantic beaches and enjoy long gallops across the golden sand dunes.

Later, head toward the small waterfalls of Sidi M'barek, where you can enjoy a relaxed picnic while the horses cool down and drink.

If the night is clear, finish the day around a bonfire under the stars.

Day 4 – The Final Ride to Essaouira

After one last breakfast together, begin the ride back toward Essaouira.

Make the most of the wide coastline with one final series of beach gallops before bringing your four-day adventure to an unforgettable end.
