process takes five to eight minutes per cow, with no human involvement
at the point of milking.

For the cows, voluntary milking allows them to be milked according
to their own biological rhythm rather than a schedule imposed by
human convenience. Research consistently shows that cows using
voluntary milking systems produce more milk per day and show lower
stress indicators than cows in conventional parlour systems. The
freedom to move to the robot when they choose — rather than being
gathered and moved as a group — is a genuine improvement in animal
welfare.
For the farmer, the robot milks continuously throughout the day
and night — eliminating the twice-daily labor commitment of
conventional milking and allowing much greater flexibility in
how farm time is managed. The data the robot collects for each
cow provides real-time monitoring of health indicators — changes
in milk production, electrical conductivity, or milking behavior
that can signal the early onset of mastitis or other health issues
before they become serious problems.
For milk quality, the continuous monitoring and individual cow
data allows problems to be identified and addressed quickly —
